4 Wedding Things to Get from Target
When you’re preparing for you wedding, you don’t think of Target as your go-to destination, especially when you see ads for Oriental Trading Co., Wedding Paper Divas and Minted as just a few examples. Well, let me show you otherwise! While planning my own wedding, I found 4 things you have to get at Target.
If you buy thank you cards from a specialty wedding website, they can cost you anywhere from $.99 to $1.50 per card, depending on the design, photos and foil being used. If you have a 100 guest count, that means you’ll be spending roughly $99 – $150 on thank you cards, which is a bit outrageous! At Target, you can find really nice thank you cards at less than half the price of a specialty wedding website. Here are a few of my faves:
Gold Foil on Black Thank You Card – $3.99 for 10 ct. ($40 for 100 person wedding)
Black Calligraphy Thank You Card – $11.99 per 50 ct. ($24 for 100 person wedding)
Unending Gratitude Thank You Cards – $18.90 for 50 ct. ($37.80 for 100 person wedding)
Signs that are cute and affordable? Yes please! Though not completely necessary, they definitely add some ambiance to your wedding ceremony and reception. Plus, signs help guide the guests who aren’t completely clear on where to go on the big day. At just $11 a pop, it won’t burn a hole in your wallet.

3. ‘I Do’ Balloons
‘I Do’ balloons are extremely cute and would look great near the Mr & Mrs table during the reception. But what’s the cost of getting big letter balloons? Surprisingly, Target offers the cheapest price. Gold ‘I Do’ balloons, as seen below, only cost $11.90 from Target. Comparatively, Party City offers them for $29.99 and Etsy is selling them for about $20, which is about 2.5x and 1.6x the Target price respectively.
Why pay upwards of $50-60 when you can get a cake server set for less? If you’re running a tight budget, this is something you can cut back on. Though we all want a fancy cake server set, you really just need one that looks nice an that will cut your cake effectively. Unless you want to display your set after your wedding, there’s no need to engrave or personalize them. You can pick up a nice looking set for $25 – $35. Either way, you’ll get to cut your cake and eat it!
