Brew Your Own Adventure: 5 Bold Decisions I Make Every Morning

I have to be honest – I wasn’t born a morning person.

I like to call myself a “late morning person” because that’s when I finally rest from all the school, camp, dog, puppy, cat, chickens chaos, and that’s a LOT of chaos that ensues from simply getting out of bed. Ah, I used to snuggle in and sleep late. These days I don’t, but I’m learning to embrace that when I finally get that rest time around 9am. 1 – I get up and look at my to-do list. Instead of running and hiding, I tackle it one-by-one like a boss. I write, edit, publish, conference call, sign contracts, hustle, rest, and do it all again.

2 – I move my body every morning. This is more of a no-brainer with all the pets and kids around because I have no choice but to chase kids to school and chase puppies OUT of the woods.

3 – I make a high-protein breakfast. I need that in my life, but usually I need more than one source of protein. So maybe scrambled eggs, a little cheese, an apple with peanut butter, or berries.

4 – I listen to music loudly in the shower. I like to play my power anthems. I never know what I’ll be in the mood for, but I know that bold mornings call for bold music – to start that day off right.
