Coffee Float For the Coffee “Unsnob”
A tall glass of cold coffee ice cream float topped with chocolate syrup is a refreshing summer treat for coffeaholics!
Raise your hand if you are a coffee lover. We simply cannot do without a hot cup of coffee in the morning and one in the evening. But lately, it has been getting too warm to have hot coffee in the evening.
During the warmer months, we practically survive on iced coffee. While you can just have a tall glass of cold coffee with ice cubes to cool you down, I love a creamy coffee ice cream float. It’s really easy to make coffee ice cream float and you just need a couple of ingredients. We picked up a tub of vanilla ice cream on our last Target run. I’d say, stick to a classic flavor like vanilla, but you can also use chocolate or coffee ice cream.
Now, you can definitely stick a fresh pot of brewed coffee in the fridge to chill. But what do you do when there’s no fresh pot of coffee or when you need a coffee float immediately? That’s why we like to have instant coffee powder on hand. It’s great for an emergency cup of coffee (hot or iced) and truth be told, there are some great brands out there. So, don’t be a snob and give instant coffee a try sometime. You’ll be pleasantly surprised!
Pour the cold coffee over the ice cream and you have a refreshing, creamy, coffee-flavored beverage in no time at all. We like to top it with a generous drizzle of chocolate syrup because what’s better than coffee? Coffee + chocolate, of course!
Here’s how you make this Coffee Ice Cream Float.
