Crazy Easy After School Snack Ideas
Heading back to school can be stressful! With new schedules, new teachers & new routines, we all need a few tricks up our sleeve! We know the right snack can turn any attitude around, and help to make the transition from school to activities a smooth one.
To get back-to-school ready, we stopped by Target and grabbed a few of our favorite easy snacks to hand off to the kiddos when they get a case of the crankies. To make this list, they had to meet 3 requirements:
- Wholesome snacks with protein or fiber (bonus points for both!).
- Portable– perfect for taking on-the-go
- Shelf stable, aka doesn’t need refrigeration. Each of these snacks can be tossed into a bag or backpack and ready whenever.
First up, a new product from a company we love!
With real yogurt and fruit, plus 4 grams of protein, it’s a clear winner for snack time. Our kids love the flavors, too. Available in strawberry, blueberry, banana, and berry. Yum!

Simply Balanced is a Target brand, and we love it for high-quality wholesome food, like these freeze-dried snacks. Kids find it so fun to eat freeze-dried food, and Target carries plenty of options, like strawberries, mangoes, and peach slices.
Next is a fun snack pack for protein on-the-go.
Our kids can’t get enough of the chocolate hazelnut butter blend & pretzels. It’s so simple to toss a couple of these in your bag, or buy a bunch for a whole group kiddos or a team.
