DIY Fall Banner
Are you in Fall mode yet? I’m going to be honest, it’s hard not to be, when you see all the adorable decor coming out at Target! Today we’re sharing with you a simple DIY Fall banner with supplies purchased from, you got it, Target!
First things first, head over to the craft isles and seek out the adorable Spritz wood banner, letter stickers and Elmer’s glue. I opted to use stain I already had at home to stain the wood, so if painting the banner is something you want to do, pick that up while you’re there too. Devine Color chalky finish antiquing wax is also a great choice to give the wood a stained effect!
Prepare yourself a work space to stain/paint your wood banner pieces. I stained both sides just because, but you don’t have to. Allow pieces to dry completely. Although the letter stickers are already sticky, I like to use Elmer’s glue to make sure they don’t come off! At this point, you can spell out any word or phrase you desire! FALL is what I chose because it’s short and sweet. Other words you could use are: thankful, blessed, fall in love, gather, pumpkin and autumn.
*Tip: Wrap a piece of tape around one end of your twine to easily string your banner!
Time to string your banner! A little tip to save you some headache, especially when using twine because it unravels easily, is to wrap a piece of tape around one end so you can easily string your banner! Cut your ends to a desired length. Typically 2-3 inches is plenty for hanging purposes.
You’re all done! Can you believe how easy that was? And it turned out absolutely adorable! Now comes the fun part, decorating! Adding fun little banners to the center of your decor instantly adds personal charm. Add some Fall decor with simple greenery, live greens/ flowers or pumpkins!
