Homemade Peach Pie Pop Tarts

I don’t know about you, but we’re at that time of year in which peach and apple seasons overlap.

We believe that there is plenty of time for apples, and we can’t wait (!!), but right now is time for the end of the peach harvest. The orchards are still filled to the brim with these golden delights, and we love to get peach preserves at Target to channel this incredible time of year. The bonus is that you can make these INCREDIBLE Homemade Peach Pie Pop Tarts any time of year. You will be the hit of any late summer/early fall party with these delicious wonders. And they’re easy to make too!

First head to Target for the ingredients. We got these five easy ingredients:

Pillsbury Pie Crust – 14.1oz


Smucker’s Simply Fruit Peach 10 oz

Powdered Sugar – 2lbs – Market Pantry™

Horizon DHA Omega-3 Organic Milk 64 oz

Rainbow Sprinkles – Market Pantry™

It’s sometimes hard to find just orange sprinkles, unless it’s Halloween time, so we’re not opposed to picking out just the orange ones from the above bottle. You can also do all rainbow sprinkles, or the smaller sprinkles which are available in orange year-round. Either way, you’ll have success:

INGREDIENTS

 – 1 Box of Pie Crusts (comes as a 2 ct.)
– Peach Preserves
– Powdered Sugar
– Milk

– Orange Sprinkles

DIRECTIONS
– Roll your pie crusts on a flat surface, making sure they are completely flat. Cut 4 squares (or rectangles if you prefer) onto each pie crust for a total of 8.
– On a baking sheet covered with parchment paper, place 4 of the square crusts.
– Scoop one tablespoon of peach preserves onto the crust. Using a knife, smooth it out but do not spread it out all the way to the edge.
– Top the peach preserves with another piece of square crusts.
– Use a fork to crimp the edges of the crust and make sure no peach preserves gets out.
– Bake the poptarts in the oven at 425 for 10 minutes.
– Let the poptarts cool. Start making the frosting by combining 1 cup of powdered sugar with 2 tablespoons of milk. Optional is a teaspoon of vanilla.
– Spoon the frosting onto the poptarts and spread smooth with a knife. Sprinkle with orange sprinkles and enjoy!
