The Fourth of July is coming up and we are excited for fireworks, bonfires and cookouts with friends and family. If you are hosting guests this Independence Day you will want to make sure your house is decorated in the spirit if Red, White and Blue. This patriotic bandana banner is a quick and fun craft that your kids can help you make this summer. All you need is several bandanas from Target, a length of rope and some scissors. In less than an hour you can have a bright, fun patriotic bandana banner to hang for the Fourth of July.
The great thing about these banners is that you can use them for just about any holiday or celebration.
This red, white and blue banner can be used for Memorial Day and Veterans Day’s in addition to Independence Day.
You can also switch up the colors and make a fabric banner to match your favorite sports team.

Cut the strips of fabric into 1-2 inch wide sections. Simply fold the bandana in half and cut down the length of the bandana. Cut all the bandanas and place them in piles according to their color.
Starting in the middle of the rope, tie the fabric pieces on using the following method:
Fold the piece of fabric in half
Take the top loop and place it under the rope. Grab the free ends and pull them around the rope and through the top loop.
Pull to secure
Work from the middle, alternating on each side to make sure the banner is balanced. Alternate between colors and patterns as you work down the rope.
Hang up above your table spread for your guests to admire.
