Pixi Beauty Skin Care Routine

Who says a great skin care routine has to put a dent in your pocket? We certainly don’t think so. One of the many reason we love Target is because it makes the great things super affordable, especially down the beauty isles.

Pixi Beauty is probably one of our favorite beauty lines at Target, not only do they have great quality cosmetics but they also have amazing skin treats to make you look and feel beautiful with or without makeup. After all, great skin is a great foundation whether you decide to go bareface or cake on some makeup.

The first step is Pixi Beauty’s Peel & Polish, with natural fruit enzymes that help exfoliate and polish the skin lifting away dead skin cells to reveal a smoother, radiant and healthier complexion. The best way we found to use this product is by applying a think layer onto clean skin and leaving it on for 2-3 minutes. For extra exfoliation, gently massage onto the skin for another 30 seconds and finally rinse off with lukewarm water. This Peel & Polish can be used 2-3 times a week.

Next we move onto Pixi Beauty’s Glowtonic with 5% glycolic acid and zero alcohol. Simply put, this toner is amazing. It further exfoliates the skin after cleansing and leaves the skin feeling soft, bright and healthy.

We then move onto Pixi Beauty’s Rose Caviar Essence, this a light weight serum that gives skin an extra boost of hydration after all the exfoliation. It melts onto the skin and gets absorbed pretty quickly. The best way we found to use this was on problem areas, such as dry patches because it’s super hydrating. If you tend to be on the oily side, avoid the t-zone area. This serum is rich in antioxidants so as well as hydrating the skin it also nourishes and softens for a smoother complexion.

Finally, we use Pixi Beauty’s Rose Flash Balm, this is a 3-in-1 balm that acts as a moisturizer, primer and hydrating mask. Personally, we use it as an everyday moisturizer and also as a primer before our foundation. If you’re skin is feeling the frigid winter, you can use this balm as a hydrating mask. Just apply a thick layer for 5-6 minutes 2-3 times a week and you will see such improvement on dull dry skin.
