Prettying Up Your Patio – On a Budget

If there is one place we love to spend our time here at Target Made Me Do It [aside from the aisles of Target of course] it is the great outdoors. Preferably with a mug of hot coffee in the mornings or a glass of white wine in the evenings right out our back door. Fire pit lit, more pillows than we know to do with and a giant pouf just waiting for our booty to settle into. It’s no secret that Target has a plethora of undeniably cute pieces of outdoor decor so when one of our contributors was on a mission to spruce up her space, Target was the first place she stopped. Whether your man believes it or not, you absolutely need pillows on every chair and couch possible. Do they end up on the ground? Maybe. But do they look awesome for all of your girlfriends who come over and “ooooh” and “ahhhh” over every one of them? Duh. While there are so many great decorative outdoor pillows to choose from, we were particularly smitten by these navy and orange pillows, “have a seat and stay a while” and of course – the beloved lobster.

The fun doesn’t stop with pillows though, oh no it doesn’t. Remember that statement about settling your booty into a pouf? Add that to the necessary list. For a more neutral look we decided on this natural and cream pouf to complete our comfy seating area.

Of course no outdoor patio is finished without the fun little decor and candles so we added those to the cart as well. Speaking of cart, it looked something like this before we were even done. Sorry husband.

We love this wicker storage side table for both functional and look purposes, not to mention it’s price of under $50! Bad weather on the horizon? Stick of all of your cute decor pieces inside and you’re golden. About those cute little pieces of decor – we love these citronella candles that are available in fun colors [bye bye mosquitoes!], these fun geo battery operated metal lanterns, rattan battery operated lantern, and so many of these other awesome lantern options. Add in a few extra finishing touches of decor if your space allows and you are all set!
