Roasted Brussels Sprouts
Brussels sprouts were the hated vegetable of the past. That’s because traditionally they have been made boiled (YUCK!) When roasted, brussels sprouts has an entirely different flavor. It tastes smoky and slightly caramelized. It’s a perfect sidedish for Thanksgiving.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds Brussels sprouts
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
- 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 lime
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Cut off the brown ends of the Brussels sprouts and pull off any yellow outer leaves. Pour the brussels sprouts on a roasting pan. Pour the melted butter over them. squeeze fresh lime juice evenly over then and sprinkle with kosher salt. Mix and roast for 35 to 40 minutes, until crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. Shake the pan from time to time to brown the sprouts evenly.
